Welcome to the “Camino del Apu Ausangate” a unique trekking experience in the high Andes with the comfort of Mountain Lodges.

Auqui Mountain Spirit, a reputed tour operator based in the ancient Inca capital of Cusco, and the shepherding communities of Chillca and Osefina have joined efforts to make this singular adventure possible in the Andes of southern Peru.

Under the protection of the awesome Ausangate Mountain (20,945 ft.  6,384 m) and other “Apus” (protective mountains) located in the Cordillera Vilcanota, we have constructed four cozy and eco-friendly “Tambos” (Andean Lodges) in partnership with the indigenous communities.

Our company was founded to deliver life time experiences for travelers from all over the world in search of unspoiled nature and hiking-routes off the beaten path. Our “Camino del Apu Ausangate” trek begins high up at the frontiers of human habitat and leads us close to the top of the Vilcanota mountain range.
